Buxus Microphylla 'Little Missy'

Introduced by Cole Nurseries, this Dwarf Korean Boxwood variation keeps its dark green color all winter and it is resistant to Leaf Miner. It has finer leaves and half the growth rate. This cultivar is perfect for smaller spaces as it stays low and grows wide.

In a 2015 study by the USDA, various boxwood cultivars were tested on their resistance to the boxwood blight fungus. over 130 boxwood variants were tested with data from 5 different studies and 30 total trials.

When the data was compiled from all studies, the Little Missy cultivar was found to be among the least susceptible when exposed to the threatening fungus.

Buxus Sempervirens 'Highlander'

Also introuduced by Cole Nurseries, Highlander is a faster growing upright American Boxwood variety. It is the fastest growing boxwood at 24-32" per year. This growth rate makes it a perfect hedging plant.

Highlander can produce a hedge 3' wide by 10 to 15' tall. it is a wonderful replacement for high deer areas while also having improved box blight resistance over the standard Sempervirens.
